Каптча (captcha) - это когда спрашивают ввести какие-нибудь мудацкие буковки с картинки, которые кривые-косые и теоретически легко читаемы человеком и с трудом поддаются расшифровке компьютером. Смысл - в предотвращении спама, который оставляют боты автоматически.

С сожалением объявляем, что пришлось ввести каптчу и в этот блог (и все дружественные). Ибо спамеры задолбали. Тысяча предложений увеличить член в коментах в день - это слишком. У меня и так большой. И если кто-то из спамеров сомневается, пусть приходит засвидетельствовать.

Каптча предлагается только незарегистрированным пользователям, желающим оставить комент. Если помните, когда-то здесь была обязательная регистрация, но потом мы ее убрали для облегчения жизни читателям. Оказалось, что облегчили ее и спамерам, поэтому как альтернативу регистрации вводим каптчу. Если вы все же решитесь зарегистрироваться, то комментировать можно будет по-старому, без разгадывания загадок.

Удалил спамерские комменты за последние несколько дней. Хорошее число: 5999 штук, то есть около тысячи в день. Надо что-то делать, установленный фильтр очевидно не особенно эффективен. Буду пробовать другие.

По просьбе некоторых читателей поясняю, как написать комент к заметке.

Способ первый.

Прямо под заголовком заметки, между заголовком и началом текста, под пунктирной линией есть строчка с именем автора, названием категории и так далее. Щелкните на самую последнюю ссылку в этой строке. Появится поле, в котором напишите текст комента. Напишите свое имя в строке под полем комента. Нажмите кнопку внизу. Все.

Способ второй.

Щелкните на название заметки. Откроется полный текст заметки. В самом низу, после текста, будет поле, в котором напишите текст комента. Напишите свое имя в строке под полем комента. Нажмите кнопку внизу. Все.

Подписка (RSS feed) на обновления этого блога теперь вроде нормально работает. Ссылка в левом верхнем углу, под гугловским поиском. Обновите, кто пользовался старой.

I was sort of bummed that most of my (internet-retarded) friends do not have even simple web pages, and if they do, they never update them or put anything useful or interesting there. That's how I've come by the idea that I can make web pages for my friends myself. Here's where I would use wiki that's been installed forever but never really used! In the spirit of the whole site let's call it The Kangaroo Person project.

Here's my entry. There are a couple of other pages at the moment. I will fill in other pages whenever I feel like it. Everybody is welcome to participate. You can create new pages for any person you know, or you can edit the existing ones.

This is not meant to be an encyclopaedia, so you can put in fun stuff too but make sure that no outright lies are there, and facts are clearly separated from rumors (although, rumors are going to be the best part, naturally). Remeber, this is wiki, anybody can edit anything.

Search for a person first. If there is no such page, the wiki will offer to create the page. Use this template to get started, and go from there.
